How to Improve Your Odds
in the Free Trial Center

Getting selected involves more than simply submitting a request. Discover how the program works and which habits can make your applications stronger.

Why Many Users Are Not Chosen

The Free Trial Center attracts a large number of applications every week. Common problems include incomplete account information, applying after demand has already increased, submitting low-quality feedback, missing the review deadline, or having very little activity outside of Free Trial applications.

Following the process correctly and maintaining regular participation can make a meaningful difference. Below, you will find the main stages involved in the program and what to pay attention to along the way.

What You Should Know About the Free Trial Center

Shein’s Free Trial Center allows selected users to test eligible products and share their experience afterward. Participants chosen for an item can receive it without the usual product cost in exchange for a complete and genuine review.

After receiving an approved product, users are expected to evaluate elements such as fit, materials, appearance, workmanship, and overall quality. The feedback can help shoppers better understand the item and gives the platform additional information about the product. Applying does not guarantee selection.

Follow the Official Process

1

Find the Free Trial Center in your account

Sign in to Shein and access the Free Trial Center. It can also be found inside your Personal Center by navigating through More Services → Other Services → Free Trial Center. Once there, review the products currently accepting applications.

2

Use your weekly applications carefully

Participants have up to 3 Free Trial applications each week, and any unused opportunities expire rather than being carried forward. Pick products that you can genuinely evaluate, select Free Trial, choose the appropriate size, confirm your delivery details, and submit your request. The shipping address should belong to the same country as the regional Shein website you are accessing.

3

Monitor the status of your request

Selection normally takes around one week. Check My Free Trial or My Applications to see the outcome. If the status shows Approved, the item has been assigned to you and an order will be generated automatically. If it shows Failed, you were not selected for that specific opportunity.

4

Evaluate the product and complete your report

When the package arrives, spend enough time testing the item before writing your feedback. Discuss details such as sizing, comfort, fabric, finish, appearance, and build quality. Your report should be submitted with original photos, preferably within 10 days of delivery. Use Post Report from the order area and follow its progress under My Report. A rejected first submission may qualify for one more attempt.

How to Make Your Review More Useful

A complete product report should ideally provide:

  • A genuine assessment that includes both positive and negative observations
  • Specific comments about fit, materials, finish, design, and overall quality
  • Useful original images, including a full-view photo and close-up details
  • Information that answers questions another shopper might have before purchasing

A report that meets the program requirements may earn 20 points, while a review classified as a Quality Report can provide up to 100 additional points. Poorly prepared reports or late submissions may make future participation more difficult.

Rules Every Participant Should Remember

• Each user can submit up to 3 Free Trial applications per week, and unused slots expire

• Your delivery location must correspond with the country version of the Shein site you are using

• Standard shipping is generally covered, although import or customs charges may exist in certain countries

• Product feedback should normally be completed within 10 days after delivery

• Creating false accounts or attempting to manipulate participation through multiple profiles may result in restrictions

• Repeatedly failing to complete required reviews can negatively affect future applications

Behaviors That Can Hurt Your Application

❌ Keeping your profile incomplete before submitting requests

❌ Providing a shipping address that does not match the selected country website

❌ Waiting too long before requesting products with high application volume

❌ Posting generic comments that offer little useful information or lack original photos

❌ Forgetting to complete the review during the 10-day period

❌ Using the account only when a free product opportunity appears and remaining inactive otherwise

“I was unsuccessful with several applications in the beginning. I changed the way I participated by checking opportunities earlier, making sure my address information was correct, and preparing more complete reports with real photos. Over time, I started seeing better results.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have to pay shipping costs?

Shein generally covers standard shipping for Free Trial items. Depending on the destination, local import taxes or customs fees may still apply.

What is the weekly application limit?

Users can submit applications for up to 3 products during each week. Opportunities that are not used do not transfer to the next weekly period.

Can participants keep the products they test?

Yes. In standard Free Trial cases, the selected participant keeps the item after completing the required testing and review process.

How quickly are applications reviewed?

The decision is usually displayed within roughly one week. You can check it through My Free Trial or the My Applications area.

What happens if my product report is declined?

You may be given another opportunity to revise the content and submit it again. Review the program requirements before sending the corrected version.

Is a large follower count required?

No. The quality of your participation, reliability, and detailed product feedback are more important than simply having a large social media audience.

Users who regularly check available opportunities, apply while campaigns are still active, and complete their reports properly are better positioned to participate successfully. Because popular items can attract many requests, applying earlier may help you avoid missing an opportunity.
